Positive action will inspire others
to live positively,
but your negative action will pull others
to negative way of living as well.
カナダに住むようになって
随分経ちましたが、
日々の生活の中で'inspire' という
英語の単語が好きになりました。
It has been quite a while
since I had immigrated to Canada.
One of my favourite English word is, 'to inspire'
日本語で「インスピレーション」
というあの言葉の動詞ですね。
which is a verb form of 'inspiration'
It was adapted in Japanese language
and we write it in katakana, don't we?
「インスピレーション」は本人自身が
何か新しいアイデアを思いつくとき
などに使いますが、
We, Japanese typically use the word
'inspiration'
when a person comes up with a
new (good) idea, however
'inspire'をもし訳すとしたら、
自分なら「感化される」
となるかな？
'(To) inspire' is rather used as
to influence others positively
in English.
他人の言動に感動して
自分も同じようなことを
是非してみたいと憧れる、
If you feel like doing the same
by watching someone,
you are 'inspired' by that person.
そんな説明になるでしょうか。
It's just my own explanation, though.
ゴミを散らかしたままで
誰も片付けなければ
その上にゴミが
どんどん重なっていく。
If you leave garbage on the street,
that garbage will grow
because people'd think
it's okay to throw more there.
けれど誰かが腰を上げ
たとえ無償でもゴミを片付けていけば
綺麗な社会が保たれる。
If you voluntarily pick up
that garbage and keep
the street clean once,
it should keep others
from making more mess.
大人が正の行動をし、
ちゃんと見せてあげれば
子供達も自然とinspireされて
If adults show the children
more 'positive' actions
than 'negative',
自分らなりの正の行動を
どんどんと
生み出していくのでしょう。
They will live their lives
in a 'positive' way and
that will help them
to create their own 'positive society'.
人はみんなエコーしながら
生きていきます。
People keep echoing like this.
Because we are all connected.
